THE ROLE

The Head of Marketing Communications is responsible for delivering elevational brand response campaigns that can be executed across all marketing channels, including but not limited to SEM, Display, Affiliates, Social, Print, Direct mail, Experiential and TV.  This list is not exhaustive and the Dune London marketing mix is likely to expand over time.  The role will maximize all creative marketing opportunities available whilst providing a robust and sophisticated reporting suite to the business for all brand related metrics. The role is a brand guardian and sets style and tone consistently across all aspects of the business. 

The Head of Marketing Communications will partner with the Head of Performance Marketing to ensure that targets are consistently met or exceeded across a number of KPIs and will work closely with the wider business to achieve the correct brand/commercial balance at all times.

The role will actively promote the full part that marketing plays within the omnichannel sales environment, fully contributing to elevating the brand, driving sales, improving the customer experience and creating a customer centric culture.

The Head of Marketing Communications is responsible and accountable for elevating the brand, increasing awareness and ultimately driving revenue. The role is also responsible and accountable for the creative marketing budget and all external agency relationships and will demonstrate at all times an accurate ROI and view on core profitability.

This role • Works closely with the Ecommerce & Marketing Director to deliver the agreed strategy.• Owns delivery across all creative marketing channels.• Takes a lead role with appointing and managing external creative agencies.• Manages in-house asset curation and creation. • Is an exceptional project manager with a laser focus on effective execution.• Is a creative, dynamic and attentive individual who is adept at relationship building with internal and external clients.• Owns a robust report suite across all aspects of brand performance and is constantly seeking new ways to visualise and simplify complex brand metrics.• Co-owns the marketing calendar and works seamlessly with the Head of Performance Marketing to deliver campaigns in line with the agreed business strategy.• Work seamlessly with the Head of Ecommerce to fuel the website experience with engaging content and product stories.   • Constantly scans new trends and opportunities.• Owns relevant business cases.• Works seamlessly across the organisation forging strong relationships to deliver results.• Ensures that relevant projects are delivered efficiently and provide tangible ROI.• Owns relevant external supplier relationships.• Identifies ways of improving profitability through improved processes, and effective investment.• Is international.• Is customer centric at all times.• Is an ambassador for The Dune Group and a thought leader. KEY RESPONSIBILITESCampaigning• Own and deliver the creative marketing communications function for the group.• Manage in-house graphic design and editorial functions.• Drive and deliver the annual and seasonal marketing communications strategy and plan.• Co-create content experiences/stories with the wider Ecommerce & Marketing team.• Be a customer champion and ensure that assets are created to enable the right messages to be delivered to the right customers at the right time.• Own and manage the budgeted plan to achieve strategic objectives.• Manage relationships within a cross-channel team to deliver agreed strategies.• Present brand related management information as and when required.• Manage creative related budgets, working closely with each business unit as when required.• Constantly look to elevate the Dune London brand and drive sales.

Tracking and Reporting• Provide an advanced, comprehensive reporting function across all brand related metrics and market share data.• Identify and agree strategic KPIs with business leads and ensure that all creative marketing activity is thoroughly and accurately tracked and reported on in order to make use of roll out opportunities and practical efficiencies.• Produce tactical analysis on an ‘as and when required’ basis. • Deliver innovative insights and actionable outputs.

Customer Centricity• Promote the ‘voice of the customer’ across all Dune London business units. • Ensure that our public face is on brand at all times, across all channels

Profitability• Drive sustainable, profitable sales growth through effective delivery of key campaign concepts and assets.

People• Manage external agency relationships wherever necessary to deliver initiatives and activity within the timeframes specified and ensure that the Dune London work ethic, brand values and mission are upheld at all times.• Work seamlessly with other members of the Ecommerce & Marketing team and provide support down to campaign level.• Work closely with other Dune London departments to ensure that creative marketing activity is delivered in line with set processes and procedures, and in accordance with regional strategies, goals and objectives.• Work well on own initiative but also be a fully committed team player and engender respect and support from other members of the global business.• Manage and develop an effective, happy and motivated team.

Expertise• Maintain an expert level of knowledge and to be aware of industry developments and innovations at all times. • Be acutely aware of competitor activity and poised at all times to capitalize on opportunities and repel threats. • Contribute to the overall mission of the department. • Constantly look for new opportunities and regularly make suggestions as to how things can be improved.
